Live television coverage for semifinal and championship matches
WEST DES MOINES, IA – APRIL 11, 2022 – Mediacom Communications will produce live television coverage of the semifinal and championship matches of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) 2022 Men’s Volleyball National Championship. Semifinal and championship matches will be played on Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16.
Grand View University in Des Moines enters the 12-team tournament field as the defending national champion; and William Penn University (Oskaloosa) joined as a first-time qualifier. Semifinal matches on Friday (April 15) will be televised on MC22 at 4:00 pm (game 1) and 7:30 pm (game 2). The championship match on Saturday (April 16) starts at 5:00 pm.
This year is the third Annual NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Championship Tournament. It is being held at the MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex in West Des Moines. Live coverage for the semifinal and championship matches will be televised in all areas where Mediacom delivers video and broadband services. Viewers will find the TV channel, MC22, located at 822, 722 or 22.
The 12 men’s volleyball tournament teams will compete in pool play April 12 – 14, and those matches will be streamed on the NAIA Network. In addition to Iowa teams from Grand View and William Penn Universities, this year’s qualifying college teams are from eight other states: Aquinas (Mich.), Benedictine Mesa (Ariz.), Cambellsville (Ky.), Georgetown (Ky.), Indiana Tech, Jamestown (N.D.), Ottawa (Ariz.), Park (Mo.), Saint Xavier (Ill.), and Vanguard (Calif.).
