Email Migration Update                                                                                                                                           Return to mediacomtoday.com



Mediacom is pleased to announce that all email performance issues have been resolved and the email migration has been completed.   We appreciated everyone’s patience throughout the migration process and regret any inconvenience that we caused to some of our customers.  Please refer to the FAQ’s below for information regarding the migration and for help with your email settings.

Email FAQ’s:

  • Customer cannot login due to password failure: 

    You can reset your password by clicking the following link or typing it into your web browser https://ihelp.mediacombb.net/

 

Forgot password:

  • Enter your full email address and click on the “Forgot Password” link

Manage Account:

  • Enter your full email address and password. Click “Submit” to enter your Account Admin portal

 

  • Page cannot be displayed or security warning when accessing http:// mediacomtoday.com.  Customers should attempt to lower the security settings on their internet browser and this normally will correct the problem.

 

  • Instructions for Mail Client settings:

A:  Outlook Express Mail Setting Instructions (new email system):

To get clients working in Outlook Express, go to Tools>Accounts, then go to the mail tab.

Select the mail account, then choose “properties”

Under properties,

Step1: Select the “General” tab; fill in your “Mail Account” name and your “User information”

Step 2: Select the “Advanced” tab,

  • Mediacom allows the following types of setting for its users to connect via a client

 

  • These settings are as follows:

Server Port Numbers
Outgoing Mail (SMTP): 465
Incoming Mail (POP3): 995
Must Check “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)” box for both

 

Step 3: Select the “Servers” tab,
Incoming mail server is a “POP3” server
Change the incoming and outgoing servers to mail.mediacombb.net.
Enter your full email address and password
Check “My server requires authentication” box under “Outgoing Mail Server” section.

Step 4: Click “Apply” to save these settings and then “Ok” to close out of properties.

 

B:  Outlook Mail Setting Instructions (new email platform)

To get clients working in Microsoft Outlook 2007, go to Tools>Accounts, then go to the E-mail tab. Select the mail account, then choose “Change”

 

Step 1: Change the Incoming & Outgoing mail server names to mail.mediacombb.net
Enter your entire email address in the “Username” section

Step 2:  Click on “More settings”, and then go to the “Advanced” tab.

  • Mediacom allows the following types of setting for its users to connect via a client

Server Port Numbers
Outgoing Mail (SMTP): 465
Incoming Mail (POP3): 995
Must Check “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)” box for both

 

Step3: Click on “Outgoing Server” tab and check the “My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication section bullet “Use the same setting as my incoming mail server”

Step 4: Click ok and exit out of properties.
