DVR Service Unavailable...

I had only 18% full yesterday.  Came home from work today and my dvr was at 100% with only about 10 shows.  Impossible to be full.  So I unplugged the hard-drive and box.  Plugged the hard-drive back in and waited 60 seconds to plug in the box.

Now when I press "List" it says DVR Service Unavailable?

I sent a signal to the DVR let me know if this fixes it.

Nope.

Although it did say "DVR" in the settings when you did that.  Before it was a blue dot over lines.  So I unplugged it all again to see if that worked and I have the blue dot again.

You can try to send that signal again and I can see if it works but even after that signal it said "DVR Service Unavailable - DVR service is not available or is currently disabled."

Ok, i will get a factory reset sent to the box.  This signal will take about 30 to 45 mins to complete.  Once you see the box reset , just let it run its course and check it again in 45 mins.

I just checked it and there is no DVR button now when I press settings.  Do you have to turn that back on?  It just has "OnDemand" where DVR used to be.

Nope.  Still says "DVR Service Unavailable.  DVR Service is not available or is currently disabled." when I press "List"

When I press record it just says recording to VCR (even though I don't have one)

The harddrive went bad or something.  The technician said the box couldn't even see the harddrive, so had to swap it out (external harddrive).
