Mediacom Service Activation Page?
« on: January 10, 2012, 05:11:59 AM »
Anytime I go to a website it brings me to the "Mediacom Service Activation Page".

When I "Click Here." it brings me to a page where I put in my Billing Account Number & Registration Code. I know its the last 9 digits of my Billing Account Number.

Then it brings me to Account Services Where I "Swap" My Residential Voice Over IP?

This is where I don't know what what to do. The next page it asks for a "Technicians Number".

I'm stuck here if anyone has any help I'd appreciate it.

For the technicians number, you can enter 999999. Also, when going through this process choose the 'Residential VIP' option when you click Swap Device. Let me know if you need any further clarification.

I'm still having trouble. I entered my numbers and clicked, this time on "Residential VIP". I put 999999 as the Technicians Number and clicked swap.

It then told me I may have to restart my computer. and unplug my modem for a few minutes. (I don't remember exactly what it said.) I covered all this, but still when I click my browser it brings me to the Mediacom Service Activation Page. Am I missing something?

Let me check the configuration being sent to your modem. This will take just a few moments.

Alright I have done a few things on this end. Can you reset your router again for me?

I am showing the modem is getting reset too but the router is still not pulling a public IP address. What is the brand name of the router you're using?

Do you see another device near the modem that say Linksys or Cisco on it? If so, that's the box that needs to be reset. I can give you a call if need and be try to track this down.
