Transfer Fee
« on: April 16, 2011, 08:21:56 PM »
I have a couple of question my wife are moving into a house soon. We called Mediacom to transfer service well they said there would a be a $29 transfer fee. A little ridiculous but you come to expect that nowadays. But what is really bad is they are treating us like "new" customers and want us to pay a month ahead. We have never been late on a payment and have had Mediacom for 5 yrs or so. Why the fee?

Another question why can loyal customers get any promotional rates? Its always for new customers. Old customers cant get any promotions.

Can anyone give me any help please?

Most promotions are for a new line of service, they are introductory offers to get you invited into the service to see if you would like to pay for the service on a regular basis. If you have any way to upgrade an additional or existing service there may be promotions available to you for a lower cost.

You can PM your phone# or account# and I can check into this for you.
