Tivo and Mediacom
« on: November 21, 2013, 12:12:26 PM »
What have the experiences been like with Tivo and Mediacom and has the Pace box been deployed yet in my area?  I am an extremely satisfied Directv subscriber, but my contract is up.  I am very curious on the Tivo offering thats now being offered.  I talked to a rep yesterday about a package deal however its a 2 year contract and that scares me.  Especially with the pricing.  They claim its only going to go up $10 a month.  I've had plenty of bad experiences in the past too.

Unfortunately, we do not have any other info other than what he has provided you with thus far. As we get any more information, we will make sure our customers are made aware of it.

Just wondering if anyone knows if and when you start using the Pace MG1 boxes will that act as both Cable Box DVR and DOCSIS 3 Modem?

Another question.  With the Tivo integration, do you get to use the Tivo UI or are you stuck with the ugly Rovi guide?

It is a TiVo interface guide.

That great.  I think I'll give Mediacom another try, thanks to the Tivo integration.  I'll try and call the rep that Chad got me in touch with and see if I could work out a deal to get the Pace STB.  Thanks for all the info!

So I talked with Renee and signed up today for the Tivo service.  She couldn't provide me any info on what box I'd get.  I requested the Pace but I doubt I'll get it.  Could I get some information about the other box you hand out?  Such as hard drive space, Netflix enabled, qwerty remote?  Any info would be great!

The Hard Drive would be 500 GB and we currently don't support netflix through the TIVO or hand out qwerty remotes. The TIVO box would be the "TiVo Premiere Q" and the model number is TCD750500. Please let me know if you have any further concerns.
