Modem resetting frequently
« on: December 06, 2011, 10:14:00 PM »
It seems like my cable modem resets itself every few minutes.  I go to http://192.168.100.1/BasicLan.htm and look at the uptime right after I notice a slowdown and it will be up less than a minute.   I did this several times this evening and the longest it stayed up was a little over 15 mins before resetting.   This also shows up in the event log of the modem:

There is some very bad noise to your modem.  The area wide noise levels look fine but your location is pretty bad.  I would like to get someone out to get this resolved.  Can I go ahead and set something up?

It seems better for the most part...although tonite a few times it acted like the modem was resetting again.  I cant tell though for sure as this is a different brand modem and there appears to be less diagnostics available.

Signals do look better from what I am seeing. If you still see any issues with the service just let us know.
