On Demand Error Code E1003

When I try to activate On Demand I get a box saying Error Retrieving Data   E1003 . A set-top interactivity problem has occurred . Please try again after a brief time .
I cannot access On Demand .

I have researched the error code and the recommended steps to resolve is to send a series of signals to your converter. If that does not work the next step would be to send a technician to you home.

Just in case your a NASCAR fan I will not do that until you give me the OK.  If your not a NASCAR fan today is the Daytona 500 so that is why I asked.

Let me know when to send the signals.
