Very slow download during peak hours

Hi Guys,

    New customer here in Tifton, Georgia and I've already noticed a trend that I'm not excited about.  I have a technician scheduled to come out on 2/25/11, but based on what I've been reading I'm not optimistic that the issue will be resolved.  My problem is currently sub par download speeds during peak hours 4pm-12am.  I am currently provisioned for 20 mbps but only receive 1-3 mbps during these times, sometimes even less.  Everyday I've had service this has been the case.  Fine in the morning when everyone is busy at work, but as soon as the backbone starts getting a moderate load the download speed plummets, often surpassed by upload speeds.  What's the fix for this, I'd like some reassurance before my 30 days are up.  I don't want to be in a 2 year lock with this type of performance.

I will need to contact your local Technical Operations Supervisor to see if I can get any information on this. I currently show they were recently made aware of some problems over there, but do not currently have a date set for the fix.

I am showing the tech was out yesterday.  Has there been any change in the service?

The 2 techs that came out on the 25th were outstanding! They ran all new coax from the street to the house. They really went above and beyond to resolve my issue.  There are still minor adjustments that need to be made, but Donnie said he would call me today to see about a team coming out to check the issues.  I'm really impressed with customer service!  Since the tech replaced the cables my internet has been running great, with some minor hiccups in the evenings and weekends during peak hours, but a great improvement overall.  Please follow up with me, and if you could provide me with Donnie's number so I can touch bases with him and provide details of performance over the weekend!

I am showing from your recent trouble call that a maintenance order was placed. I will see if I can find out the status of this maint and see when the expected resolution is for this.

There was a Mediacom van at the corner of my street and a gentleman up in the bucket, we'll see what it yields.
