During peak hours there are number of multiple requests that the server can handle, there are no of concurrent request handle by the server. so the server switches between different requests also network traffic adds the delay that's why download response time is low

This fix is still several weeks out. We will update you if we see the date move or if we get word of any delays, but at this time we are still looking at next month before the next update on this.

Interesting side note, I had a Mediacom employee over to my house as a guest and we discussed in detail what is actually going on.  He informed that the utilization in this area is at 95+% during peak hours.  He also informed that Comcast is buying Mediacom.  Does this mean good things for us customers?  Is Comcast going to bring something to the table that Mediacom doesn't have?  I find it crazy that Mediacom is still pushing for customers in an area that is obviously maxed out.

Thanks for the update.  I've personally not heard anything about Comcast purchasing Mediacom.

Yes, utilization would have to practically be maxed in order for it to give you the sort of numbers you're seeing.  If it wasn't maxed out then you'd be seeing proper speeds.  This is why that node-split is necessary to get this resolved.

Is May still the eta on a fix for this? I've been a customer since Feb and have yet to stream in the evenings without "buffering" on a 20mbps account.  What's wrong with this picture?

We are not seeing any changes to the scheduled fix date yet. As soon as we have word of a change I will let you know.

28U cards were installed this week, which is the preliminary equipment install to be done. We are hoping for more to be done soon but don't have a set ETA.

We should be seeing improvement here soon as they have started with some equipment already. Still, no eta has been given for a final date to be completed yet unfortunately.
