Unacceptable especially during off peak hours, packet loss has been getting really bad in the area, my aunt across town experiences the same loss so I know it's not only me or my equipment.

We just spoke with Zach, who you had speaking with in our phone support department, so he may have relayed some information to you already.  Unfortunately, we have received no developments past what we've already heard with the construction of an all-new CMTS.  We will be adding additional credit, and we have this on file for review once you are ready to move- so we can look into the removal of the ETF.

The credit was added after this months statement was generated. I will PM you the amount. You can subtract it from the current balance or it will show up on the next months bill.

Come on, seems like when I really want to sit down and do something, I can't.   I appreciate the credits, but I'd rather pay for something and receive it.  So far I've been pretty patient because I haven't had to pay, but now we're moving into partial credits for a service that sucks more than it shines.  Empty promises for a solid year.  I don't understand how Mediacom stays in business because according the forums... I am THE RULE, not the exception.

We are doing all we can and are currently awaiting new head-end equipment to be shipped after the order was approved in the beginning of this month. This was the latest information given to us by local management.

But Tom read through this thread, I've heard this for an entire year.  Date has come and gone so many times.  I understand that it will probably never be fixed, but I have really tried to keep an open mind and keep this thread somewhat updated for others to see.  So until I move and am no longer a mediacom customer I will continue to post my concerns, frustrations, and findings right here on this thread.  This isn't something I've been quibbling about for a few weeks....this has moved into a year of promised fixes and ordered parts that never come to fruition.  I'm resigned to the fact that this is as good as it gets.  If had any, ANY, other option for broadband internet I would absolutely have taken that path.  I've been a lot more fortunate than others because I had the luxury of not paying for service until it was fixed, but it appears that luxury has up and vanished.  I can only imagine the frustration from people who have been in my shoes and actually had to pay for this shoddy service.

Credits were applied for this month just as they were previously, so I am unsure what you mean by this:

I wasn't paying a dime, but this month you guys felt that the credits had carried on too long, so I got a partial credit.  My account has been documented heavily since I became a customer.  I spoke with a supervisor named Matt employee 4920 on March 10, 2011 and he advised me the account would be notated in detail that I would not pay for service until the multiple issues were resolved in full.  I would love for you to talk a look and tell me if the notes reflect this.

That was the ONLY reason I didn't bail on the service at the time, before I was into a contract.  The problems started with the install and only went backwards from there.  I was told there would only be a partial credit this month, so I paid what I was told would be the balance.

The oldest notation only states you said a sup would be doing as such, but the Supervisor on duty at that time denied this from being done. We have done partial credits for utilization for any customers requesting credits as this problem will cause some delays and slow speeds, but is not completely unusable during all hours of the day.

I was told by the supervisor Matt on march 10 that I would not be billed and he convinced me to stay as a customer because I expressed concerns about being locked into a contract with a company that I suspected would not be able to provide what was being offered in our area.  I find it absolutely hard to believe that I've received credits for almost a solid year based solely on ME saying that someone said it was so.

We have been doing manual credits on an individual basis during the time you have spoken to us here. This area fix is still pending and sadly we do not have any additional information beyond the local management advising us they were approved at the beginning of this month for additional equipment to assist in resolving the area issues.
