Email Support / Re: Mediacom Mail Server Black Listing

It appears to be working now. However, email has been hit or miss over the past month. Why is the reputation changing? What are you doing to ensure emails are getting through? As a user how am I supposed to ensure that mail is getting to it's destination?

What is the update? I work at Genesis Health System and MCHSI users are now reporting this to us.....This is the latest report: User Kenneth Naylor. Anything he tries to send from his kennaylor@mchsi.com email account to a genesis email account gives him  a error message  that it failed because of the MTA poor reputation. He stated this is happening from all of his devices so must me a email account issue??  Number for contact 563-940-4139......Please provide a status and an ETA to resolution.

I also support First Lutheran Church....They are reporting the same......

Why would uploading a single file do this? Please explain....saying that is the way it is....is not valuable information at all. I have tried to set QOS on my router to alleviate the problem but nothing changed so I disabled QOS. I don't care how long the upload takes. I will never believe a single file upload will cause 2000ms latency.

When I upload videos to youtube it causes my ping times to be around 2000ms and the uploads(100M) take an hour. Please help.

« on: October 25, 2012, 04:02:51 PM »
I am unable to consistently send/receive mediacom email. It appears that two of Mediacom email servers may be black listed. Senderbase.org shows that any mail from 97.64.187.22 and 97.64.187.24 is black listed. This might explain why it appears so random. Please escalate accordingly.

whatever you did seems to have helped. I reset the modem on last time and now the ping times are normal.

I am not sure it is right to assume these problems to be related. I have been tolerating the DVR issue for alot longer than the internet one.

Please READ the messages that are posted. I opened these as seperate issues and they need to remain that way. You can open a service call for next week on the cable\DVR issue. The high ping times do not happen during the day. Again that is a seperate issue and I believe to be a routing problem with device at address 10.132.40.1. Are you telling me that the device at 10.132.40.1 appears to be functioning properly. Is this a DNS server....it is the failing device no matter what I ping.

My ping times to any website are between 800 to 2100 ms. Tracert shows that the problem starts at 10.132.40.1 Please resolve this routing issue. I have already reset the modem/router. I believe the problem to be external to my home.

Around a week ago our cable started displaying blocky areas in the picture and sound cut outs. I have powered off the dvr, unplugged the box...no change. This appears in the recordings as well. I would say it does it around 20-30 times per hour. Please help

I can barely browse the net. I definetely cannot game. I have reset modem/router and tried direct connect. My ping times to known sites like google.com yahoo.com etc produce high ping times over 2100ms.  Tracert reveals that the hop at 10.132.40.1 is where the trouble begins. Please help
