Rather than make a new sticky post in each forum we do have a 'News ticker' type message at the top of the main forums page. Please make sure to check for this on the front page of the forums as we will post anything regarding large known outages/problems there when possible.

That should not be a problem at all. Hopefully this is not a problem too much longer.

He may have been talking about something else that was affecting his home, but from what we are seeing it is not the same issue on your line.

With the area feed not showing any problems it would be up to the tech that comes out to trace the problem, but I do not have a specific cause as to why only that channel is affected other than a possible physical issue at the residence.

I am closing for the evening, but if you PM your phone# or account# to me a moderator will get back with you tomorrow to set up the appointment.

For the problem to be occurring for only you in this area since no area issue has been declared during the time you have posted about this would tend to lean towards an onsite issue. Would you like to set up for a tech to come and check on this?

Please keep us posted. I am thinking that may have just been an isolated incident.

The lights going down on the modem should also disconnect from the head-end server and register as a disconnect, but I am not seeing anything since the restart prior to 9:20pm.

Does the log file show anything after 21:18?

Your log file also suggests the last reset was over 50 minutes ago which is prior to you posting back on the forums stating it was about to go out. No resets have occurred since the reset prior to 9:18pm(21:18).

The modem does not indicate a reset in the last going on 40 minutes now.

A reset is seen on my side as a disconnect or interruption in connection to the head-end server which has not occurred recently.

Modem showing no disconnects in last 30 minutes. Can you bypass your router and see if you are seeing any similar problems?

Modem is not indicating a signal or other problem at this time.

The recordings are on the hard-drive. I would swap just the receiver box first and request that they give you a replacement that also allows for an external hard-drive. This will rule out the box as the problem and save your recordings if at all possible. Worst case the hard-drive may need to be swapped also, but to attempt to save recordings I would try just the 1 box to start with.

Sent an initialization signal. Box should go out for a few seconds and may require you to power it back on. If this does not clear it up we will either need to swap the box at the local office or set up for a tech to come out and check things over.

Ok. Are we working with 2 TV's or just a single one?

If the DVR icon is not there you may have an external hard-drive to the DVR. You will need to pull the power cord to the hard drive and then pull the power cord for the cable box. Power on the hard-drive first and then plug the cable box back in after a couple minutes of the hard-drive being on.

This should resume the DVR function.

I would try and pull the power from it first to see if it will stop cycling, but I will try a few signals sent from here and see if that helps any. Worst case scenario we may want to swap this box out if it continues to do what it is doing.

Could you PM me your phone# or account# to send the signals?

Ok. I was just making sure. The cable box may be turned off after the signal the rep sent. Please hit 'cable' on the remote and then 'power'. Try to see if the channels will change at that point.

Can you bypass that temporarily so the modem runs direct to the wall outlet?

I want to recheck the signal and see if that splitter is going out and causing this signal issue I am showing. Bad splitters tend to cause what you are describing as they degrade and begin to fail.

Does the cable cord coming from the back of that box run through a splitter or direct to the wall outlet?

The closed caption menu pops up when you hit Menu on the remote is that correct?
