Do I need to clear my cache and cookies often? How do I do it?
In normal day to day use, you should never need to clear out your browser's cache or
cookies. The browser is limited to using a specific amount of space based on preset limits,
and will automatically delete old files as it needs to. Sometimes, though, problems do
occur, and you will need to clear one or both of these things.
In Internet Explorer, go to the Tools menu, and click on Delete Browsing History. To
delete the cache and cookies, click on Delete files... and Delete cookies...
In Safari, to clear the cache go to the Safari menu and click Empty Cache. To delete
cookies, go to the Safari menu, and click Preferences. Then choose the Bookmarks
icon. Click on Show Cookies below. You may choose to delete one, multiple, or all cookies
from this screen.
