How can I backup my e-mail?
 
Click Preferences (Link )

 

Click on the Import/Export tab.

 

Below, the default options will export your entire mailbox in a standardized TGZ format.  TGZ is the file extension for a Tar-GZipped file.  Effectively, this is a compressed file that contains all of your email data.  This is not a human-readable format.  Click the Export button below to continue.

 

 
Your web browser will prompt you to Open or Save the file.  Choose Save.

 

Select the location where you would like to save the backup of your mail, and click the Save button.

 

When all of the files have been downloaded to the chosen location the below window will pop up. Click Close to close the window.
